Este fin de semana, he tenido la oportunidad de participar en el Cuarto Encuentro Transfronterizo de Asociaciones Juveniles entre España y Portugal, organizado por la Federación de Asociaciones Juveniles del Distrito de Guarda en colaboración con el Consejo de la Juventud de Castilla y León, en la localidad portuguesa de Vila Nova de Foz Coa.
Entre las actividades, las ponencias y demás ratos vividos, y teniendo en cuenta la brutal barrera que supone la diferencia de idiomas, he tenido la oportunidad de obsevar y quedarme perplejo ante la capacidad de movimiento y dinamización que tienen los jóvenes portugueses, acudiendo en masa a un encuentro preparado íntegramente por ellos (asociación Gustavo Filipe de Vila Nova de Foz Coa), con una alegría y una vitalidad sorprendente. Además, de que ha sido una gran oportunidad para hablar, ya que en un foro tan importante para los jóvenes, han tenido la posibilidad de encontrarse cara a cara con gente de peso como el Ministro portugués de Cultura, la Presidenta del Instituto Portugués de Juventud. etc...
Pero hay algo que me ha llamado poderosamente la atención, y que no tengo por menos que manifestarlo en este foro con vosotros: NO SE DONDE ESTABAN LOS ESPAÑOLES!!!
De las 30 inscripciones que se supone que había, según palabras de Fernando López (presidente del CJCyL), en el encuentro no aparecimos más que 11 (en representación de 2 Asociaciones además del citado Consejo de Juventud); y no se puede decir que haya faltado publicidad del encuentro, puesto que a mi asociación le ha llegado la informacion por más de 6 vías diferentes, pero sin embargo... allí no estábamos.
No se donde está el problema, si es que falta movimiento asociactivo juvenil, si faltan energías, si fatan ganas, o si falta promoción por parte de las Instituciones, pero el hecho es que este fin de semana, nuestros amigos portugueses nos han dado una lección de todo ello, y los pocos que hemos ido hemos podido aprovechar para encontrarnos con una realidad que, aunque nos duela, supera a la realidad española en mucho.
Me encantaría animar a TODOS los jóvenes aparticipar en actividades como ésta, ya sea a través de alguna asociación Juvenil (sería ideal), o de forma particular; y me gustaría animar a todas las asociaciones de Castilla y Leon a vivir experiencias similares y juntarse y conocer y relacionase con gente de su misma especie... que hay veces que parecemos seres en peligro de extinción, pero la realidad es que somos muchos los jóvenes que nos movemos en la red de asociaciones juveniles y que tenemos mucho, mucho en común.
